"Everyone in my Family has Killed Someone"

By Benjamin Stevenson

Sometimes you need a book that makes you laugh out loud and think about all the ways your life has gone wrong and all the ways it has gone right. A family ski trip starts and ends in murder.... who done it or did they all do it?

We have all killed someone in our heads and dreams. I am very interested to know how everyone in this guy's family has killed someone. Can you imagine going on a date and your date opened with that line... I would order a stronger drink and settle in for a good story.

Happy Reading this month!

Books We Read...

November's Book:

Everyone in my Family has Killed Someone

A dyfunctional family reunion at a ski resort where a murder occurs... Sounds like my winter vacations. This book was recommended by one of our members for being a laugh out loud read. I can't wait!

October's Book:

The Irish Goodbye

3 sisters, a mom, and a dead brother all have ways of making this book interesting. The brother dies and the world still rotates around him as long as we keep staving off real emotions and communication. Getting past it is the mission for one Thanksgiving stay.

September's Book:

The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell

An incredible story—one that followed a boy who overcame immense challenges and built a remarkable life despite always feeling different. It surprised us as a love story, and let’s be honest… no one could put down the second half!

How Our Book Club Was Born

One afternoon, Kristi and I were making milkshakes for the Middle School teachers' appreciation day when Emily overheard us talking about books. She casually said, “You should start a book club.”

Later that day, while I was at home, I got an invite to my book club. WTF?!

We picked a book and set a date. And just like that, it began. I had no idea how much I needed this book club.

Now, we meet once a month and LAUGH OUR ASSES OFF!

More importantly, it’s become something bigger. So many women in our community are reading along each month. This little club has brought women together in ways I never could’ve imagined.

Honestly? It makes my lonely world go round when someone walks up to me just to talk about the book of the month.

So, in an attempt to control the chaos (yes, I have control and organization issues), I created this website.

Thanks for being part of this beautiful little corner of connection we’ve created. 💛

Much Love, Marsha

Be a Part of something FUN.

Our Book Club isn’t just a group of women sitting around laughing...
Okay, fine—it is a lot of that.
But it’s also so much more.

For me, this space was created by my girlfriends at a time when I needed it most.
That’s the heart of sisterhood: showing up, sharing stories, and holding space for each other—sometimes with wine, sometimes with tears, always with love.

Join me each week for updates on what we’re reading and how it inevitably weaves itself into the chaos of my real life.

My Other Latest Reads...

Atomic Attraction

Is this a book review or a review of my life's dating choices. You decide. I love psychology and this gives you some eye opening thoughts to keep you thinking for days. Originally written for men- but I learned so much about myself.

Born to Run

I stopped running years ago due to injury. A man recommended this book stating that it was a book that made him think differently about the way we view running. I will describe the book as interesting, enlightening, and FANTASTIC!

The Life Changing Magic of Tidying up

You know we all need this occassionally when we see our house start to slip into disarray. This book is magical at inspiring you to get back into it.
