May's Book Club:

No Two Persons

No Two Persons by Erica Bauermeister – Review

The central idea behind

No Two Persons

is the profound impact a single book can have on different lives. Authors often wonder:

Who will read this? Will it affect them? Could it change their life?

This novel explores those questions by presenting ten unique perspectives—ten different people at various points in life, each experiencing the same book in their own way.

Reading it felt like going through ten short stories. The characters were diverse and compelling, often making you want to read the fictional book they were reading, just to understand their reactions more deeply. As the narrative progressed, the characters’ lives began to intertwine in unexpected ways, which added an interesting layer to the story. However, this structure also made it challenging to follow casually—it demands your full attention.

Our group had mixed feelings. While the book was certainly intriguing, it didn’t resonate with us on a deeper level or leave a lasting impression. Unlike other books that have lingered in our minds or stirred deep reflection, this one didn’t offer a strong emotional or philosophical takeaway.

Personally, I felt it lacked that moment of clarity or moral dilemma that sticks with you. It left me wanting more. I’m someone who loves stories told from different perspectives, but in this case, I found myself more curious about the fictional book within the story than about the novel I was actually reading.

Here are the questions I was left with:

  • If you wrote a book how would you want people to remember it?

  • How would you want people to feel while they read it?

  • How would you want people to feel after they read it?

  • Would it be important for you to write something that would change lives?

Be a Part of something FUN.

Our Book Club isn’t just a group of women sitting around laughing...
Okay, fine—it is a lot of that.
But it’s also so much more.

For me, this space was created by my girlfriends at a time when I needed it most.
That’s the heart of sisterhood: showing up, sharing stories, and holding space for each other—sometimes with wine, sometimes with tears, always with love.

Join me each week for updates on what we’re reading and how it inevitably weaves itself into the chaos of my real life.
